Studio Policies and Information
At Omnes Studios, our policies help create a safe, positive, and supportive environment where students, families, and staff can thrive. Please review the information below for the program-specific guidelines and expectations.
-
Attendance
Regular attendance is important to a dancer's progress and to the success of group choreography.
Dancers are permitted:
2 excused absences from September–December
2 excused absences from January–May
An excused absence must be communicated in advance by a parent or guardian by emailing info@omnesstudios.ca. Absences without notice will be considered unexcused.
Pre-planned vacations do not count toward these absence limits; however, the studio must be notified as early as possible to allow for class planning.
Excessive absences may result in:
Removal from choreography
A reblocking fee of up to $75 if choreography changes are required
Student Absences & Lateness
Students who repeatedly miss classes without communication may be removed from class without refund.
Students arriving more than 10 minutes late without notice may be asked to wait until an appropriate time to enter class.
Frequent lateness may affect participation in performances.
Studio Cancellations & Weather
If a class is cancelled by the studio, it will either:
Be rescheduled during the season or following the spring dance show, or
Be taught by a substitute instructor.
Each recreational dancer is guaranteed a minimum of 26 classes during the season, including rehearsals.
In the event of severe weather, closure announcements will be shared through:
Please use your own discretion when travelling in poor weather conditions.
Communication
Studio communication is primarily sent by email. Please ensure your contact information remains up to date and check your inbox regularly.
To avoid missing important information, please add the following email addresses to your contacts:
General Inquiries: info@omnesstudios.ca
Payments: payments@omnesstudios.ca
We also encourage families to follow Omnes Studios on Facebook and Instagram for announcements, reminders, and studio updates.
Dress Code & Dance Attire
Students are expected to attend every class wearing the appropriate attire and footwear for their registered classes.
All dancewear must be purchased through Omnes Studios or an approved retailer. Please refer to our Dress Code page for complete uniform requirements.
Year-End Showcase
All recreational dancers are invited to participate in our year-end showcase, provided attendance remains in good standing.
Additional rehearsals outside of regular class time are required. Families are responsible for ensuring dancers attend all mandatory rehearsals and performances.
Show and rehearsal dates will be published on the studio website once they become available (typically near the end of August).
Show Tickets
Tickets are $25 each.
Children 3 years of age and under may attend free of charge when seated on a guardian's lap.
Costumes & Fundraising
Each recreational dancer will be assigned one costume per registered class for our year-end showcase. Costume selections are made by the instructor to best suit the choreography and overall performance, and are ordered by the studio.
Costume pricing guidelines can be found on our Tuition & Fees page.
To help offset costume expenses, Omnes Studios offers a variety of optional fundraising opportunities throughout the season. Families are encouraged to participate as much or as little as they choose, with many families successfully fundraising enough to cover the full cost of their dancer's costume(s).
Additional information regarding costume orders, payment deadlines, fundraising opportunities, and costume distribution will be shared throughout the season.
Photo Day
Professional group and individual photos will be available for purchase.
Attendance is required for all group photos, even if individual photos are not being purchased.
Student Code of Conduct
To help create a positive learning environment, all students are expected to:
Treat teachers, staff, and fellow dancers with kindness and respect.
Arrive on time and ready to participate.

Ensure dancers arrive on time and prepared for class.
Notify the studio of absences or lateness whenever possible.
